Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Determine whether data is covered by scope of program
   • Collect evidence, facts and information.
   • Review evaluation terms of reference and conditions to determine whether data/information falls within project scope.
2. Apply and analyse established data
   • Assess validity of data/information.
   • Apply analysis techniques to assess data.
   • Identify trends and anomalies.
   • Document data analysis techniques and procedures.
   • Make recommendations on areas of possible improvement.
3. Record data analysis
   • Record findings.
   • Analyse recommendations for action to ensure they are compatible with the project’s scope and terms of reference.
   • Analyse interim and final reports and compare outcomes to the criteria established at the outset.
   • Report findings to stakeholders.

Performance Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence must satisfy all of the requirements of the elements and performance criteria. If not otherwise specified the candidate must demonstrate evidence of performance of the following on at least two occasions.

researching information

gathering, measuring and managing data

planning and analysing

negotiating and problem solving

using a range of communication styles for communicating with different audiences and purposes

applying sustainability principles

Knowledge Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence must satisfy all of the requirements of the elements and performance criteria. If not otherwise specified the depth of knowledge demonstrated must be appropriate to the job context of the candidate.
